Formal's integration with Slack enables you to streamline request access directly from Slack.

## Supported features

* **Keep on top of every policy trigger**

Receive instant notifications in Slack, alerting both data consumers and owners when policies are triggered.

* **Effortlessly initiate policy suspension requests in Slack**

Users can request the suspension of policies for specific reasons and durations, right within Slack.

Policy owners can rapidly accept or decline requests right from Slack, ensuring a streamlined and efficient decision-making process.

## Connect Slack to Formal

1. In the Formal UI, open the [Slack application](https://app.formal.ai/slack).
2. Click `Add Slack` to link the Slack app to your workspace.
3. If you use Enterprise Grid, select a workspace as the organization.
4. Do not link at the enterprise level. Formal supports workspace-level linking only.
5. Restart the Slack app on your devices to clear the client app cache.
