# Install Formal Endpoint on macOS

> Download the Formal Endpoint for macOS and deploy it with MDM

## Overview

Download the Formal Endpoint for macOS from the Control Plane. For a single Mac, install the package locally. For a fleet, use MDM Endpoint Rollout.

## Download

In the [Control Plane](https://app.formal.ai), click **Download Formal Endpoint** at the bottom of the sidebar. Open **macOS** and download the package for your Mac.

Open the package and follow the installer. After install, the Formal icon appears in the menu bar.

**Verify:**

```bash theme={"languages":{"custom":["/languages/cel.json","/languages/rego.json"]}}
formal auth login
formal ls
```

`formal ls` should list resources available to you.

## MDM Deployment

Deploy the Formal Endpoint to managed Macs through your MDM.

1. Go to [MDM](https://app.formal.ai/mdm-integrations) and click **Set Up Endpoint Rollout**.
2. Select your provider and download the deployment files.
3. Follow the setup instructions in your MDM console (Jamf, Intune, Kandji, Fleet, or Mosyle).
